We talk
A discovery conversation maps how your business actually works — what you sell, who you serve, what you charge for, and where the current setup hurts.
Your brief
What you need becomes a short, checkable brief: which capabilities are switched on, and exactly where your business differs from the norm. You read it and correct it before anything is built.
It's assembled
The brief drives the build. Your application is generated from the shared core with your capabilities and your models in place — not hand-assembled from an empty folder.
It stands up
Your app runs on infrastructure you control, with its own database — the same tested, repeatable setup every deployment gets.
We fit it to you
Your content, your data, your look, and the parts that are genuinely specific to you. This is the part that varies most, and it's where the time actually goes.
You're live
A website, a CRM and billing already joined up — and the keys are yours from day one, not on request.
The same short list of choices decides what your app is made of.
Capabilities are switched on per deployment. A brief for a business like yours might read something like this.
| Capability | Setting | State |
|---|---|---|
| Take card payments | payments | True |
| Invoices synced to your accounting | xero | True |
| Recurring plans & subscriptions | billing | True |
| Email marketing from your contacts | marketing | True |
| Blog & events | blog | True |
| Member sign-ups & access | registrations | True |
| Online store | store | Off — add later |
| Bookings | bookings | Off — add later |
Anything switched off can be switched on later without starting over.
Where the time goes — and where it doesn't.
Building a business platform from scratch means inventing the website engine, the customer database, payments, permissions, the accounting sync, and the recipe for deploying and running the whole thing safely. That's the part that historically costs a fortune and takes months, and it's the part you're not paying for. It already exists, and it's already running in production — ours.
What still takes real time is the work that's genuinely about you: the discovery conversation, getting your content and existing data across, the places where your business doesn't behave like the default, your branding, and testing it all properly before anyone relies on it. How long that takes depends on how much you're bringing and how far you sit from the defaults — so we scope it with you rather than putting a number on a web page.
What you can hold us to is the shape of the engagement: you see the brief before the build, the platform underneath is proven rather than experimental, and the application is yours at the end of it.
Speed here comes from not starting at zero — not from cutting corners on the parts that are specific to you.
What we'll need from you
The words, images and pages you want on the site. We can help — content editing is something we do — but it's the most common thing to hold a launch up.
Contacts, customers, past invoices, whatever you're bringing across. Migration is scoped in discovery; how clean the source is makes a large difference.
Someone who can settle questions about how your business works — what counts as a lead, what a subscription includes, who's allowed to see what.
Your payment provider, your accounting system, your email sending domain. Straightforward, but they need to exist and be yours.
Start with the conversation.
No commitment beyond an hour of talking about how your business actually runs. You'll get the brief either way.
