Lifecycle — for evaluators

It keeps moving — without a rebuild.

A Pure Stack app isn't a one-off delivery that ages out. It's generated from a living core, grows through settings and model swaps rather than rewrites, and pulls in improvements over time. And because you own it, you can be handed the keys at any point.

Six layers, one application

Each platform is built from real components. Hover or tap a layer to see what's inside — all on one database you own.

Day one

Generate

Your app is assembled from the brief — website, CRM and billing, joined up and running on infrastructure you control.

As you grow

Extend

Switch on capabilities and adjust your models through settings and swaps. New bespoke apps sit on top of the core, never inside it.

Over time

Upgrade

Improvements to the shared core arrive as new versions. Migrating your data across a changed model is the coordinated step, and it's planned work rather than a surprise.

Any time

Regenerate or leave

Re-emit the app as your needs change, or take the whole thing and go. No rewrite, no ransom.

Where improvements come from

Proven in our own production system before it reaches yours.

Pure Creative runs its own business on Pure Stack. New capabilities are built and used there first, then promoted into the shared core — so what arrives in your deployment has already been through a real production week, not just a test suite.

The shared core

Live

Pure CMS and Pure CRM, maintained by us and released as versioned packages your app depends on.

Upgrades flow down

Live

New versions reach your app on a schedule you agree to — not silently, and not never.

Your customisations stay put

Live

Your models, settings and data sit in your app. The core beneath them improves without stepping on them.

The exit, described honestly

What "never locked in" actually involves.

Leaving the managed service means changing who operates your application — not rebuilding it. You keep the codebase, the database and the deployment recipe, and they're the same ones every Pure Stack deployment uses, documented the same way.

It is still a handover project: someone has to take over hosting, credentials, monitoring and upgrades, and that someone needs to be competent with Django. What we can promise is that nothing is engineered to make it hard — no proprietary runtime, no encrypted blob, no clause that makes your data expensive to retrieve.

The same generator that built your app is what makes handover possible, which is why we treat "can this be handed over cleanly?" as an architectural requirement rather than a contract term.

What we're responsible for

The platform

The core libraries, the generator, the deployment recipe, and the upgrades that flow through them.

The operation

Planned

Where we host and manage your deployment, we keep it running, patched and monitored. Formal service tiers are part of the managed offering we're building out — talk to us about what you need rather than reading a tier off a page.

The relationship

Changes to your business shape become changes to your app, through the same extension points rather than through mounting technical debt.

The test of "you own it" isn't a sentence in a contract — it's whether the application can be operated by someone else without being rebuilt. That's an architectural property, and it's the one this whole platform is organised around.

Let's talk about year three.

The interesting question isn't what launch looks like — it's what happens when your business changes shape. That's the conversation we're set up for.
